The need for training of specialists with higher legal education objectively determined by the realities of modern society and a modern state. Providing opportunities for high-quality legal education is the first and necessary step towards providing the country with qualified personnel in the field of law, and hence build a modern legal and democratic state.
Therefore, the initiative of the President of the International Humanitarian University, Academician Sergey V. Kivalov and decision of the Academic Board of the University for the Humanities, of the University has successfully created and the Institute of National and International Law (hereinafter INMP).
The history of driving unit International Humanitarian University – Institute of national and international law dates back to August 2003. Then the International Humanitarian University has received a license to conduct educational activities for training educational qualification level “Bachelor” specialty 081 “Pravoznavtvo” with licensing volume of 100 students.
In summer 2003 was made the first set of students in this field for the first course in the amount of 50 people, and in August was created department of national and international law, which included only one department of theory and history of law, headed by candidate law, Associate Professor Natalia Ivanovna Dolmatova. In 2004, the University has received a license to conduct educational activities 082 specialty “International Law” the license of 50 students.
At the head of a leading university department always been responsible and talented people: Professor Andrew I. Jwanski professor Raisa M. Minchenko, associate professor Timur R. Short, Associate Professor Andrey Berezovsky. Demanding each approach to the selection of staff helped to create a cohesive team, a team that is an effective tool realizing the idea of ​​providing the highest quality legal education.

Since 2015 the Institute of National and International Law is headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor of International Law and Comparative Law Konstantin Viktorovich Hromovenko.

Sohodni INMP has all necessary conditions to train students in specialties “Law” and “International Law” by educational levels “bachelor”, “specialist” and “master” on a contract basis.
In addition, management INMP decided to create new specializations that meet the needs of the modern labor market:
-kryminalno legal justice;
-administrative legal justice;
-tsyvilno and economic justice;
– maritime and customs law;
– European law.
Studies carried out on the internal and external forms.
Teaching languages ​​- Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Graduates of Institute of national and international law receive diplomas approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Passage training for your professions allows graduates of the Institute of national and international law to occupy positions in the central executive bodies and local authorities, prosecutors, courts, Ministry of Justice, various bar associations and others.
From the first years of creation INMP management and, above all, the President, Academician Sergey V. Kivalov huge focus of the teaching process, involvement of teaching staff qualifications, which have degrees of candidates and doctors of Law, and have significant teaching experience. That is why teaching in INMP carry more than 12 professors, doctors of legal sciences, 50 associate professors, candidate of legal sciences.

Institutional national and international law prepares graduate students on specialties: 12.00.03 – civil law and civil procedure; family law; international private law; 12.00.01 – theory and history of state and law; history of political and legal doctrines; 12.00.09 – criminal procedure and criminalistics; forensics; operatively-search activity.
An important area of ​​research faculty INMP is the publication of collections of scientific papers:
– “Journal of International Humanitarian University. Series: Law “(included in the list of scientific professional editions of Ukraine);
– “Almanac of international law.”
Students INMP get comprehensive knowledge of the basic legal disciplines, allowing in the future to provide a wide range of legal services. The Institute studying in depth administrative, criminal, civil, economic, environmental, land, labor, international law, European Union law, intellectual property law, competition law, advocacy and notary Ukraine, krymynolohiyu, criminology, fundamentals of operational activities, forensic accounting, sociology and philosophy of law, basic management and marketing and other disciplines.
Practice students INMP is a link in the system of further employment. Every year students of the Institute are educational and practical training in judicial and law enforcement authorities, notaries, legal departments of state and commercial structures, prosecutors, leading law firms in Ukraine.
Individuals enrolled in the Institute of national and international law, have the opportunity to receive training program for reserve officers at the department of military training. Graduates receive the rank of “Lieutenant of reserve”.
Currently, the walls INMP trained about 1,000 students, including not only the citizens of Ukraine and representatives of the Russian Federation, Bulgaria, Moldova, Belarus, Turkey, Georgia, Azeybarzhana, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Congo. Fact Learning Institute considerable number of foreigners, of course, describes him as a subsidiary institution of higher education and international recognition demonstrates our university abroad. Every year the number of students INMP increases.
Thirteen years of the Institute – the period is certainly small. However this time the efforts friendly staff of the Institute of National and International Law managed to create a structural unit with the traditions and techniques that allow one to hold the dominant position in higher legal education in our country.
